Chiara Codecà
was born in 1977 in Pavia. At an early age she became an avid reader and fell in love with illustration and art, all passions that would eventually shape her career and life. She studied Fine Arts (Paintings) in England (University of Plymouth) and Milan (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti), where she graduated with honours in 1999. She started a career as painter and engraver while pursuing a second degree in cultural heritage, and in 2005 she graduated in Conservation of historic-artistic heritage.
Since then she''s been balancing between the artistic production and collaboration with publishing houses (as manuscript reviewer and translator) and cultural foundations (as exhibition planner and guest liaison). Since 2005 she''s been a member of the editorial staff of FantasyMagazine, the most important italian online magazine dedicated to fantasy, media and visual art, and is responsible for the illustration page.
She''s proficient in different forms of art, from frescos to printmaking, from artist books to illustration. She enjoys experimentation with different media to text the integration of traditional techniques with the contemporary ones.
Currently she works as a copywriter in a big media agency in Milan (Accenture Media Agency) and divide her time between Milan and her studio in Pavia.

Max Bertolini
was born in Milan, where he still lives and works. He didn''t attend any art school and he can be considered a true natural talent. At the beginning of the Nineties he became the illustrator of Nathan Never, the famous strip cartoon published by Sergio Bonelli.
He was then hired by Alfa Agent and he has been drawing since 1993 the most famous and best seller science-fiction series in Italy. He is one of the cover illustrators of Mondadori, the biggest italian publishing house, and his fantasy and sci-fi covers have been published in USA, France, Germany, Spain, England, Russia and China (Random House Germany, Games Workshop, Fantasy and Science Fiction Magazine, Heavy Metal, Ast Publisher, among others). In 2004 Diesel, the famous italian fashion brand, asked him to illustrate its winter worldwide advertising campaign.
In March 2005 Paper Tiger, the well known english publisher of fantasy and sci-fi art books published ‘Revelations, The Art of Max Bertolini’, a 128 pages hardcover art book which includes the best of his production.
